Meet Our Instructors

Crown Dance Studio believes that anyone can learn to dance! Our personable and dedicated instructors listen to your goals for your dancing and work as a team to help you achieve them. Crown offers private lessons and group classes for youth and adults, as well as regular practice parties so that students may practice and enjoy what they are learning with their fellow dancers. Our trained professionals are skillful dancers, as well as expert teachers, which allows students to feel at ease while learning and experiencing great progress with every lesson.


Alisa Sadovnikova, Professional Dance Instructor

Alisa Sadovnikova is a Russian Latin Showdance and National Champion. She has beauty and poise and a terrific personality to boot. Her dedication and commitment to dancing started ever since she can remember herself as a child.  She won the Bronze and Silver Championship of Russia in 2008, 2010, and was crowned National Champion in 2011.

Alisa has 10 years of experience working with children and adults, teaching privates and group dance lessons. Has lots of experience teaching the basics of classical ballet, running professional classes for Latin & Ballroom dances. She was a top teacher in Pro-Am studio “Bosa Nova”, Moscow, Russia. She was the top choreographer and executive director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games Sochi 2014 (Russia)

Alisa wishes to continue to add to her already amazing resume by teaming up with Crown Dance Studio and compete with Abraham Sannoh in their quest to becoming a U.S. National Champions. She is determined to pass on her knowledge and wisdom to the next generation by hosting kids classes and Adult Latin Classes. Her addition instantly makes Crown the number one dance studio in Northern Virginia!

Abraham Sannoh

Abraham Sannoh, Studio Owner & Teacher

Abraham Sannoh began dancing in 2004 and soon realized he wanted to take dancing to the next level. In 2006, he began training seriously with local and international dance teachers. Three years later, he became a member of Arthur Murray International. Because of his talent, as well as his passion for and dedication to dancing, Abraham quickly became a professional instructor, successful dance competitor, and a skilled choreographer.

Abraham is a certified professional with both Arthur Murray and DVIDA and is considered one of the best dance instructors in the mid-Atlantic region. He loves helping students develop their dancing skills and his warm and friendly personality make learning to dance fun, easy, and exciting. 

Abraham is a six-time finalist in the American Rhythm and Smooth category, including 2013 North Coast Open, 2013 Virginia State, 2013 Washington Open and 2013 BBC&C. He continues his quest toward a national title through hard work and dedication to his dancing.


Darryl Adams, Professional Dance Instructor

Darryl Adams has been a teacher and choreographer of ballroom dancing in the Washington DC area for over 30 years and is proficient in all ballroom dances and styles.

Darryl trained primarily under the tutelage of both Frank Regan, an icon in the dance industry, and Connie Paley, a British Open finalist, and was a member of Frank Regan’s dance company, the American Dance Montage.

Darryl is USISTD-certified in the standard, smooth, and rhythm dances and has been a member in good standing in the USISTD since 2001.

Allison Lenore

Allison Lenore, Professional Dance Instructor

Since early childhood, Allison has always been very active and full of energy. From elementary school to high school, she excelled at track and cross country and earned a full scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University, where Allison was exposed to the art & joy of ballroom dancing.

Allison has been a professional instructor since 2006, and has earned numerous awards competing in American Smooth and Rhythm divisions. She loves to help all students to accomplish their goals and to grow and develop into amazing dancers.


Virak Chhang, Professional Dance Instructor

Although Virak went to school for Computer Graphics and Engineering, he found a path to a career in Finance and Real Estate. After a seven-year tenure as a regional banker and consultant with a large commercial bank, he took an early retirement in 2012 to focus on his love for the arts.
Prior to teaching ballroom dance, Virak traveled to several cities with his dance-fitness group and shared his love of dance with thousands of fitness enthusiasts throughout the US. His initial interest Latin dance started in 2006 and he remains an active member of the local Latin-dance community. He has worked as a media director as well as offered support for several large dance festivals/events (DC Bachata Congress, Interfusion Festival, Bachata Bash, Fred Astaire, etc).
Virak began teaching ballroom dance at Arthur Murray in 2012 where he choreographed wedding dances, performed shows and competed. He refuses to go back to his old corporate-style of work and wishes to focus on and share his love of the arts with the world.
